Growing up in Portmore St. Catherine, Jamaica, as a child, I did not have many interests except in track and field and admiring high quality images as I browsed through a variety of magazines. Though there was an excited curiosity in what I later discovered to be photography, my only exposure to the field were those who took photos at birthday parties. It wasn’t until I entered high school where I was scouted out to be a model did my interest in photography develop even more. Being a model taught me the basics of photography; the differences between good and bad lighting.
Upon completion of high school I migrated to the United States in which I modeled for Seth Sabal, a world-renowned photographer in New York City, who further peaked my interest in the field. I was so impressed by the professionalism and high efficiency of his establishment that I later decided to go to school to further my knowledge concerning this area of study. In 2011, I was rewarded with an Associate’s degree in Graphic Design at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor, Michigan and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan in 2013.
Because I, myself, am a stylish person, my area of interest in photography is fashion. I take pleasure in adorning my models, especially those who are most indifferent to style, in fashionable raiment. My objective is to open the viewer’s eyes to other clothing options and combinations that are comfortable and affordable.
